Jean Campbell, Health Care Manager sent out a report to the crew. She had some complimentary words about Terry. I wanted to share it with you all:
- In HealthCare Services
Over the past few years, there have been a few people who have been key to getting the hospital to the point where it is now...looking move-in ready. Let me tell you about two of them in particular:
- Mark Coleman, who moved to the Anastasis with his family in June, assuming the role of Community Development Manager, spent months and months helping me work out what we needed for the medical gas system, etc. He later helped with installation of pipework, etc.
- Terry Barrett, who left his fingerprints on the Caribbean Mercy, has left a multitude of them all over the Africa Mercy hospital. On November 1, he and his wife Pat will be leaving Mercy Ships, so I want to take this chance to sing his praises....he's done all the rest of the work on the medical gas system, including installation and design; he's installed furnishings in the hospital area; overseen the installation of the operating lights, biological safety cabinet, x-ray, CT scanner, OPG x-ray, scrub sinks; prepared areas for installation of high density mobile storage; asked the right questions, helped sort out answers to my questions, and generally done it all with grace and skill.
