I was also nominated as Secretary for the EAA, so I've been busy this month and enjoying life.

June 28th we had the Young Eagles Breakfast Rally at Horizon Airport. George Briones is our local president of EAA and he is educating the kids before pilots go take the Young Eagles flying.

Isaiah and Pat drove back up to Colorado with Melissa and the kids after spring break. We spent Easter with the family and Mr. Wheeler, Andrew's dad.

The following Tuesday Josiah came home from Iraq on leave, so him and Terry drove up to Colorado. It was nice to play games and listen to a few of Josiah's stories. Grandma and Grandpa played with the grand kids. the older kids went to the Rockies baseball game. We all took a tour of Coors Brewery.

Terry and I flew back to El Paso (back to work). Isaiah and Josiah took a road trip- Moab, Utah, Las Vegas, Nevada, spent the night in Phoenix then headed back to El Paso, in time for Isaiah to shave and cut his hair before he processed into Fort Bliss.
Josiah's back in Iraq, Isaiah is stationed at Ft. Bliss, and Melissa can rest now that everybody is gone.

March Madness

March 1st starts off being my birthday, and I received some beautiful tulips from my son Isaiah.

Terry an I went to a Get Motivated Business Seminar with guest speakers: Rudy Giuliani, Zig Ziglar, Dr. Robert Schuller, former First Lady, Laura Bush, President of Microsoft, Rick Belluzzo, four -time Olympian, Ruben Gonzalez, and a few others. And from that seminar, Terry signed him and Isaiah up for a 2 day financial class, which was attended 2 weeks later.

Isaiah arrived from Korea to his new post, Fort Bliss which happens to be in El Paso.

We celebrated His birthday the day after he arrived by going out for dinner and going to the Broadway Musical Cabaret. That all sounded like a great idea until they turned off the lights-- we all three, Terry, Isaiah and I fell asleep, so we left the musical after 4 songs.

Isaiah was cleaning out one of the containers where all his stuff was stored, and a passer-by
notice a painting he had, and bought it on the spot. That put a smile on his face, so I had to take a picture of the painting before he released it.

Melissa came down during Spring Break with Blake and Avery. Zachary went to Idaho to ski with his Grandpa, Andrew's father. Here's the two young ones with there face painted playing with a lady bug.

Fun in Feb

Terry and I were able to take a break from the airport madness and had some fun celebrating Blake's Birthday in Colorado. this was Blake's first birthday party so Melissa went all out. it was a cowboy party. Everyone had to dress up in a cowboy shirt, and Blake ;et me know when I got there; so I had to go buy a cowboy shirt. There was a horse that gave the kids a ride, and two donkeys were tied up so the kids could feed them. Here are a few pictures:

Update on Josiah in Iraq

Molokai

This month our book club discussed the book Molokai by Alan Brennert. The girls receive a favor everytime they come as a remembrance of our time together or something for them to remember the book. The girls favor actually came from Hawaii, thanks to my daughter who took the time to pick some braclets for me while she was there in November. I also try to set the table and the dessert on the theme of the book.

We had this cool helicopter fly into the Airport to get some fuel Sikorsky Sky Crane. This helicopter was huge the blade was at least 35 feet long. It has two engines each with 9,000 horse power. Our days are always a bit interesting.

Terry's last day at Jacob's Engineering was January 4th and on that day they gave him a Certificate of Appreciation and a Coin. That was a nice surprise since he only work there for 7 months.

Chuck and Beverly Best were travelling through El Paso headed to Las Vegas for a Bowling Tournament. We met Chuck and Beverly in Russia. They spent the night, we had dinner and then let Beverly win at Mexican Train .

Happy New Year

For us 2009 has been a time of transition, some things that we had planned for, prepared for fell through, moved from Russia to El Paso, (losing our jobs, home, and friends) Terry starting a new job in June and then giving his 2 weeks notice in Dec. Yet I so believe it was all part of God's master plan for our lives. Starting January first we will be Property managers of Horizon Airport. We're both looking at 2010 with new hopes.

With all that being said May 2010 be a Blessed year for you all - from our family to yours!

One of Josiah's friend, Matt, was staying at the house from mid November to mid December until he went off to Iraq.
After all the activity from October through December ceased our house is pretty quite. Holidays were filled with a few parties-Jacob's Engineering where Terry was a part of the choir (thanks to his brother who nominated him),

Credit Union Christmas dinner, and then a Dinner and Ornament Exchange with the Book Club which was started in October.

We kept busy till the very end and as of Dec 30 West Texas Air Museum is now offically closed, a few odds and end for the first two weeks in Jan, but it 's closed! Real proud of Terry he was very diligent, and perserving in completing this huge task.

New Year's Eve Terry and I celebrated with a nice Dinner and then went to play some Dominos with his family, got home around 10:30.
