September Sped By

Every day at the airport can be a
taste of history - a 1937 Waco

The Tomato Harvest wasn't plentiful this year,
but it tasted good.

My brother David, Yvette
and the newest family member Zara.

Go Miners!

Terry has been working diligently at the airport. He
pulled 4000 feet of electrical wire
underneath the runway.

This is why Terry did what he did!

The 3 day knee surgery for my dad became a 12 day ordeal. This is my sister, Annie with my Dad.

She loves the camera.

For those people who are always asking what do we do out at the airport. We've added the Horizon Airport Blog as one of the links. Take some time and take a look at all the hard work Terry and employee, Phil Schneider have done this last year.
Celebrating again! This time it was my friend Donna's birthday.

Julie, Donna and I drove to Belen, New Mexico and spent the night at a Bed and Breakfast.

The next day we took the train, Rail Runner, into Santa Fe.

Our lunch in Santa Fe was quite delicious so was the sightseeing and the shopping.

The ride back to Belen on Saturday afternoon was a cultural experience with debut of Shakespeare on the rail:vignettes of Hamlet, The Tempest and Pericles.

This was a great weekend filled with fun memories.

As a board member of the Credit Union, Terry needed to attend
The National Director's Conference in Las Vegas, so I tagged along.

We stayed at the Palazzo/Venetian and one of evenings we attended the Blue Man Group.

As a thank you for watching the kids Melissa and Andrew
gave us tickets to Cique du Soleil Mystere.
This was one of my favorite acts - Hand to Hand

Terry came back rich not with money...
but with information and insight
to present to the Board and Management.

Relaxing with my dear friends Donna & Julie,
as we celebrate Julie's Birthday.

Avery's birthday was next, Grand-pappy and I decided to give her a small birthday party since the grand-kids were staying with us while Andrew celebrated his birthday in Las Vegas.
Here is my little 5 year old with her cousins and Blake.

Celebrated Terry's birthday at a fancy restaurant with
Melissa and Isaiah.

July's Happenings

This month started off with a bang. The 4th of July parade ends right in front of Restoration Fellowship, the church we attend. And we the church have a ministry time for anyone who wants to come and joins us: music, games, free hot dogs, and a prayer booth. Terry and I helped serve, where we gave over 800 hot dogs.

Gotta love those grandkids!

What a bargain grandchildren are! I give them my loose change, and they give me a million dollars' worth of pleasure. ~Gene Perret

I was also nominated as Secretary for the EAA, so I've been busy this month and enjoying life.

June 28th we had the Young Eagles Breakfast Rally at Horizon Airport. George Briones is our local president of EAA and he is educating the kids before pilots go take the Young Eagles flying.

All Together Again

Isaiah and Pat drove back up to Colorado with Melissa and the kids after spring break. We spent Easter with the family and Mr. Wheeler, Andrew's dad.

Look what I found!

The following Tuesday Josiah came home from Iraq on leave, so him and Terry drove up to Colorado. It was nice to play games and listen to a few of Josiah's stories. Grandma and Grandpa played with the grand kids. the older kids went to the Rockies baseball game. We all took a tour of Coors Brewery.

Here they come.

Terry and I flew back to El Paso (back to work). Isaiah and Josiah took a road trip- Moab, Utah, Las Vegas, Nevada, spent the night in Phoenix then headed back to El Paso, in time for Isaiah to shave and cut his hair before he processed into Fort Bliss.
Josiah's back in Iraq, Isaiah is stationed at Ft. Bliss, and Melissa can rest now that everybody is gone.
