From a Shipyard to an Airport

Terry's dad graciously allowed us to move into a house trailer at West Texas Airport. Living in the trailer allowed us to empty out our house in hopes of renting it. We have moved everything out, painted all the rooms, fixed roof leaks and leaky faucets, mowed lawns, trimmed bushes, repaired the pool plumbing: you get the picture, we have been working and working!


It's hard to believe that a few months ago, we would look out our windows from work and see ships, dockworkers, rain, and greenery. Now we look the front door or back window of the trailer we see airplanes and desert.

House Work

Josiah helped us in the cleaning, fixing up, and moving until the university started. Isaiah returned to El Paso from Colorado after helping his sister with the basement remodeling and part time holiday job. He is now helping us with the last of the repairs on our house.


Isaiah is replacing a rotted joist and Terry is setting up a new door. Next we'll be painting the oustside of the house, and then she'll be ready for rent.

We couldn't have done all this work without our boys!

What would Christmas be without Friends?

Pat and Julie, friends since their kids were in grade school. That's a long time, but we won't say how long!

Melissa and Isaiah are celebrating Christmas in Colorado, so we had Josiah all to ourselves!

Family

After we settled into our home, We started apartment hunting for Josiah. We found a place for him closer to the university all in one day. We will move Josiah on the 27th of December in the mean time we've enjoyed Family during the holidays. The first picture is out at West Texas Airport with part of the Barrett Family.
The second picture is Dennis, Richard, Mom, Joan, and Terry. This is the first time that Terry's brothers and sister have been together in 10 years. So Mom was happy!!!!!

Greetings from the Desert of El Paso,Texas!

We arrived to the great southwest a few days before Christmas. The day we came in, Josiah said "let's go get a Christmas tree" and away we went to get a little tree.

Work, Work and more Work

Terry is finishing the basement of Melissa and Andrew's house. Isaiah is in Colorado to help out with this new project. Here are a few pictures of their progress. Zach has jumped into helping as well.

So Much to be Thankful

I remember my Dad telling me one time:"the best gift I could ever have is seeing all my kids together again".

Now, I know exactly what he meant...

Adventures with Avery

We were at Bible Studies when Melissa and I were called into the Nursery. We were told Avery had a seizure. When we ran downstairs to the daycare she was just laying on a padded bench very limp. Tears flowed and our hearts sank, as we called 911. Andrew, Avery's Dad met us in the emergency room. After a C-scan and blood work, she was released. Avery is fine, blood work showed no sign of a seizure. The next day she seem to be herself again, we're we happy to hear her laughter and her crying.
As a Mom, I was happy to see Melissa's friends be so supportive.
